Although more than forty six centuries have passed since it was created, it still has many mysteries ,even the most famous Egyptian historians have been unable to classify its appearance ,Some say it's a whole pyramid formed a link between the  scaled pyramid of zoser as it was built sixty years before the pyramid of Meidum was built, and the pyramid of khofu which is one of the seven wonders of the world, which came about sixty years after it was built too.

The pyramid of Meidum; that huge building in the middle of  beni swif desert,which scientists have not figure out the essence of its design yet, and what was king sinfro the founder of the fourth family who was called "the greatest Egyptian builder"  thinking when he chose that design, and whether it was  intended to be what it is, or was it a whole pyramid before it had a partial collapse, and did he design what the king desired or it was just a mistake occurred while building it,Thus, historians believe that pyramid of Meidum will remain the mystery of the old pharaonic state.

Most of what might have arisen in the case of the pyramid's construction , which has been described as a false pyramid is the consensus of the Egyptian scientists and the  archaeologists  that it was built by two Kings not a single egyptian king, the building process began in the reign of king "Honny", the last king of the third family and  it was completed during the reign of king" sinfero "the  founder of the fourth family and that was a major change of the philosophy of the pharaoh Kings who didn't use to complete any traces of former Kings,some were even obliterating those unfinished traces.

As for the pyramid itself, it has proved to be special and unique in shape and design, and at first sight some think it is similar to the scaled pyramid built by king zoser in saqara, and it is coated with a white lime, but it doesn't actually have the pyramid shape but it shows up in the middle of the desert as huge cubes of three-steps with layer that made it  a level pyramid moreover, it looks like a real pyramid.

More than six decades ago, just before 1430 A.D. Takey El Deen El Makreezy   the  elder of egyptian and arab historians described the pyramid of Meidum that it was pentagon, which made some people believe that the pyramid was two steps larger and that an earthquake led to its collapse.Historians suggest that this collapse occurred during the advanced families after it completed,others believe that the pyramid was not completed as a result of a collapse of the outer layer during building it,so it became a miracle among the Egyptian pyramids.As historians thought, king sinfro has completed the construction of the pyramid of Meidum as it  was  near his  headquarters in "jedi sinfro", which located near the city of medoum, although this area was not previously designed for royal graves,Egyptian engineers chose it for being the highest rocky plateau,Which made it eligible for a huge pyramid pressure, plus its closeness  to the egyptian capital,The plateau also includes a funeral temple, a terrace, a sloping road that leads to another temple,It was built close to the Nile valley, which means that it is a rich, visible area which can be used extensively as a tourist destination.

As for the pyramid itself, it was built with seven steps, but only four remained with forty five metres high,The entrance is located twenty metres above the ground ,and it leads to a fifty seven -metre long passage,and  then the burial chamber, a funeral temple on the east side of the pyramid, and the remains of the rising road, which was between the funeral temple and the temple of the valley،

The architectural style of this pyramid is called the pyramid with layers which is different from  the scaled pyramids ,and it's considered a transition to the whole pyramid.The pyramid consists of a core or a tower in the center surrounded by seven layers of limestone, each coated from the outside.
